Escape rooms are a tactile gaming experience where players work together to solve challenges using a variety of hints, clues, and puzzles to 'escape' a room within a time limit. Players have around 45 minutes to finish the game.
Our operations centre is constantly monitoring your journey, and if requested can provide hints to your team that assist you to progress.
We strongly recommend players be at least 120 cm tall and/or 10 years old to participate for the safety and comfort of all players. Any players under 18 years of age require an adult or guardian to sign waivers on their behalf before starting.
All of our equipment is designed to be adjustable and fit people of all sizes and shapes comfortably. From the tallest giant to the shortest hobbit we are confident you will find our equipment comfortable and a good fit.
Our Virtual Reality escape rooms standard price is $50 per person, each booking can have up to six players (or twelve players for a double room booking). We offer a date night special for two players. See our pricing page to find out more.

Our rooms are designed to test your mental agility and ability to work together as a team - not your fitness. You may need to bend, crouch or raise your arms above your head, there are no lifting requirements. You do need to have the capacity to walk and move freely. Each member of your team will be fitted with a HTC Vive Focus 3 virtual reality headset. A staff member will guide your team to a custom engineered simulation room where sound is dampened to maximise your enjoyment and immersion. Then - you play the game.
Length of games vary between experiences with average time limit of 45 minutes. Depending on how busy we are, we might give you a little extra time to complete the game if required. Please arrive on time for your booking so everyone can enjoy a good virtual experience.
The VR headsets fit comfortably over most glasses with a problem, half of our team wears glasses and they have no problem putting on and taking off VR headsets all day. However, if you have contact lenses you may find them more convenient. If you only need glasses for reading or driving then you shouldn't need them for VR.

Of course – Metaphysica welcomes everyone! It is desirable that one of your teammates can move around on the ground in order to complete the game.
